I recently moved to Chile as a part of the “Start-Up Chile” program (my website is www.scholaroo.com) and I'm happy to announce that we're organizing the first ever Drupal meetup in Santiago, Chile! In preparation for this meetup, I also had a very interesting chat with another Chilean Drupal developer, Rafael Bravo of www.reclamos.cl. We talked about building a strong community of Drupal users in Chile and having monthly meetings, workshops, parties, and other events. So we wanted to officially invite you to attend our first meeting. In his presentation, he will discuss what we can do to build a strong Drupal community in Santiago and throughout Chile. More specifically, we’ll discuss the possibility of regular meetings, training and workshops, parties, and the recruitment of new developers at area universities and businesses. 2. “Drupal Lightning Talks” presented by the Chilean Drupal Community Have you been working on a really cool Drupal project? Is it something you can share with others? We are going to open up the floor to short 5-minute presentations on the Drupal website, module, or topic of your choice. We will have a projector available, so come prepared to showcase your work. After the formal meeting part of the evening, many of us will head to a nearby pub for drinks and more informal conversation.
