New Drupal book by Hagen Graf has been published
I'm happy to announce the probably first German book about Drupal, written by Hagen Graf: "Drupal: Community-Websites entwickeln und verwalten mit dem Open Source-CMS". The book covers the Drupal 4.7-beta series. It has been published a few days ago and should be available from your favorite bookstore by now, as well as from Pearson Education/Addison-Wesley or Amazon.
The book covers topics such as the history of Drupal and its surroundings, the Drupal community, the installation process (Linux and Windows), Drupal basics (modules, nodes, blocks etc.), and the administration of a Drupal site. It also explains the configuration of the Drupal core modules, gives an introduction on how to produce your own themes, and discusses several contributed modules which you might need for your site.
I had the pleasure to act as technical editor/reviewer (or whatever that's called in English) and I can really recommend the book to anybody who wants to learn more about creating websites with Drupal - the book is written with newbies in mind, so you don't need too much background knowlegde to make good use of this book in your own web projects...
