Modernizing Testbot: Drupal Dev Days report
Well ... it's been a few days since Drupal Dev Days wrapped up, and my Hungary experience is now coming to an end. Before I go, however, there are just a few things I need to wrap up.
First, a huge thank you to ricardoamaro, beejeebus, and dasrecht for helping out with the 'Modernizing Testbot' sprint this past week. While I wasn't able to spend quite as much time in the code as I wanted to, the amount of progress made during the week is outstanding. I had hoped to exit the week with a 'functional proof of concept' which we could start to build on and polish after the event was over; and instead Ricardoamaro had already completed that much just two days into the conference. We've also had a number of people pull down the code to play with it and test things out, and I'd like to extend a personal thank you to each and every one of you!
Secondly, for those interested in looking at what was created, the code can be found in a drupal.org sandbox located at https://drupal.org/sandbox/jthorson/2190713, or alternatively on github at https://github.com/ricardoamaro/modernizing_testbot__dockerfiles
Third, those of us working on the testbot at Drupal Dev Days have agreed to schedule an online meet-up at least every couple of weeks in order to touch base, track progress, and help sustain the current momentum. Look to this group shortly for discussion and an announcement as to when the first of these meetings will be held.
Last but not least, I'd like to again express my appreciation to the Drupal Dev Days organizers for giving me the opportunity to attend the event, and helping to facilitate a wonderfully productive week. I'm very excited to see all the progress made, not only on the Modernizing Testbot initiative, but with the Drupal.org (mobile-friendly Bluecheese!) and D8 Core sprints as well. Also, a special thanks to Cheppers for offering up their space in Budapest for attendees of the conference, which proved invaluable when I found myself unexpectedly stranded due to a cancelled flight ... your generosity and hospitality is greatly appreciated.

Looking forward to continuing the great work in Austin ...
