While I'm always trying to find a way to better the Omega theme, I also sometimes like to take a few moments (or a day) to enjoy doing something creative and fun with it. A couple of days ago, a link was passed around twitter about the new HTML 5 logo. I absolutely loved the design, layout, and big eye-popping headers and elements.

So my creative side went to work, and made a design based heavily off of that concept, and within 24 hours launched a working Drupal 7 version of the new omega microsite!!!

The above screenshot only shows a little of the page, so be sure to visit the site, and feel free to comment on how it's a complete rip-off of their design, or about how much you love it as well!

This launch foreshadows my presentation on Omega/Delta at DrupalCamp Western Mass coming up this Saturday, the 22nd of Jan.

On another related note, in the last usage update on Drupal.org, the Omega theme finally passed the 1000 installs mark!!! Watch out Zen & Fusion, here I come!!!
