Drupal newsletter changes
I upgraded drupal.org to the latest development version of Drupal and installed simplenews, a newsletter module for Drupal written by DriesK. I migrated the Drupal newsletter from Mailman to Drupal. You can now manage your newsletter subscriptions from your personal user page, or you could subscribe to the Drupal newsletter's RSS feed. Also, publishing the newsletter on the web has never been easier so no more delays for the web version of the newsletter. In future, both the e-mail version and the web version could, and probably will, go out at the same time.
Note that the existing Drupal newsletter issues and the existing Drupal newsletter subscriptions have been migrated from Mailman to a Drupal. If you were previously subscribed to the Drupal newsletter, you still are. We tried to bind your existing subscription to your user account based on your e-mail address. Go to my account >> edit >> my newsletters to see if it worked out. If you were subscribed to the newsletter, but if the newsletter settings on your user account tell you otherwise, we failed to link your e-mail address with your user account. If that is the case; log out, unsubscribe your old e-mail address at http://drupal.org/newsletter/, log in, and enable the 'Drupal newsletter' checkbox on your user account page.
