It's been way to long since we've written one of these, and a lot has happened in the last year. Yeah, that's right, it has been a year since the last "This Month in Drupal Documentation"!
Drupal 8 introduced the use of Semantic Versioning, which practically means the use of three levels of version numbers. The current release is Drupal 8.1.8.
It’s 80 degrees and sunny in beautiful Ann Arbor, Michigan, and we are enjoying a tasty cold beverage while dreaming of sprints for Drupal 8 and the community that comes with them.
Drupal 8.2.0, the next planned minor release of Drupal 8, is scheduled for Wednesday, October 5, 2016. Minor releases include new features, usability improvements, and backwards-compatible API improvements.
