If you create anything other than a very small site using Drupal you will end up using Views and CCK, two of the most important contributed modules in Drupal.

Our research group at the University of Michigan has been working on the "related modules" block for Drupal.org for more than 2 years now. We have published 2 papers on this project so far:
Drupal 6 probably won't ever work right on PHP 5.3.0, which is what Snow Leopard packs by default. My feeling is that since Ubuntu LTS still runs PHP 5.2, Drupal 7 won't work at production level on PHP 5.3.0 either.
One of the great things about Drupal is how quickly you can crank one out for a special purpose, like an upcoming event. However, you are then faced with the dilemma of what to do with that site after the event has passed.
