As we begin a new year, it seems appropriate that the discussion of backward compatibility has come up yet again in Drupal.
The time has finally come.

2011 was a big year for us at Exaltation of Larks.
Email notification is a convenient way to be updated about new content or comments. There are several modules in Drupal that already deal with this issue, and I would like to propose another solution, and highlight the advantages of using it.
Jess (Drupal.org username xjm) is a Drupal developer, core contributor, module maintainer, and mentor, and just plain all-around awesome!
