The Drupal project has released version 4.5.1 of its open-source content management platform. Drupal 4.5.1 is a maintenance release that provides corrections of problems reported using the bug tracking system.

This question is prompted by some comments made over at http://drupal.org/comment/reply/13129/21713.

As the Drupal community has grown the rate of forum and mailing list traffic has increased, making it difficult keep on top of all the recent developments in Drupal land.

I wrote a simple contact module and installed it here on drupal.org. The module lets people contact each other via e-mail without giving away the recepient's e-mail address. Note that this feature is only available to registered users.

Here's a proposal to make it clearer and easier to find out and maintain the information

We're happy to report that Drupal.org has moved to our new server and host. As you can see the site is back to being snappy and ready to tend to all your Drupal needs. If you notice any errors or odd things, don't hesitate to tell us.

You may have noticed that the Drupal website has been slow lately. Since the 4.5.0 release, Drupal has gotten a large increase in popularity (more than 10.000 visitors per day worth 70GB of traffic/month).

This week I migrated the FootNotes website (http://gnomedesktop.org) to Drupal. FootNotes is a news site for the GNOME Desktop project.

I'd like to announce a multi case study project taking place in my Business Writing class here at Purdue, which aims to develop a formal promotional report for Drupal.
